During braking the disc has to dissipate the kinetic energy of the motorcycle which is normally turned into heat by the friction between the pads and the disc itself.

These are floating discs made up of a brake rotor in thermically-treated martensitic stainless steel (capable to stand any thermomechanic strain) and of an CNC alloy-aluminium bell. These two parts are connected to each other using 10 bushings. The combination of these discs with Brembo Z04 pads won the 2009 World SuperSport Championship title.
